About the Academy of Military Sciences
The Academy of Military Sciences (AMS) is the leading force of the PLA’s wide military research. The AMS is tasked to strengthen innovation in military theory, defense technology and organization of military research, to accelerate the development of modern military science and to build a high-level military research institution.
As a member of National High-End Think Tank Pilot Project, the AMS functions as a brain trust for the Central Party Committee and Central Military Commission of CPC on issues of economy, military, science and technology and social development.
