Abstract
Op Sindoor highlighted the growing threat posed by low-cost swarm drones and the economic inefficiency of relying solely on expensive kinetic interceptors for air defence. This issue brief argues that High-Power Microwave (HPM) systems offer a cost-effective, non-kinetic solution for India to counter future drone swarms and strengthen its self-reliant air defence capabilities.
